General
- These terms and conditions govern the Altitude Programme. Standard DHL Terms and Conditions of carriage apply to shipments.
- DHL reserves the right to terminate, change, amend, alter or modify the terms of Altitude Programme at any time with or without notifying the member.
- DHL reserves the right to use information provided for the purpose of providing this service and to convey the same information to participating companies.
- Should the Altitude Programme be terminated, all points will be considered expired with immediate effect.
- The Altitude Programme is effective 1 April 2003.
- All disputes will be resolved at DHL’s discretion.
- Any misuse or abuse of the programme may result in the cancellation of membership to the Altitude Programme.
- Failure by DHL to enforce conditions is not a waiver of them.
- The Altitude Programme is governed by the laws of the Dubai courts.
Member/Membership
- The Primary Member enrolled into the Altitude Programme is nominated by DHL. However, the Primary Member within any company may change at anytime by providing the Altitude Programme written notification from the existing Primary Member or a valid decision-maker of the company.
- An individual DHL account can have up to four (4) members. (One (1) Primary Member and three (3) Supplementary Members).
- Membership is at the sole discretion of DHL.
- The Altitude Programme is open to members based in the UAE and only valid for use in the UAE.
Earning Points
- Points can be earned on inbound and outbound services only.
- No points will be earned on domestic transactions, selected road network services, selected express logistics services or other DHL auxiliary services.
- Points are earned from the month of enrollment.
- Points are valid for 12 months from the month in which they were earned. For example points earned in April 2003 expire on 30 April 2004.
- Claims for missing points must be made within four (4) months of the date of transaction.
- Points may take up to 21 days to reflect in a members account.
- Points may be deducted for any adjustments made to shipments or due to unpaid DHL accounts. Should the points be redeemed, DHL reserves the right to deduct the points from points earned for future shipments.
- Unpaid DHL accounts or DHL accounts that have not transacted within 12 months will result in the Altitude account being deactivated and the points forfeited.
- Points earned on more than one DHL account number cannot be pooled.
- A single shipment is deemed to be one or more pieces that are shipped using one air waybill number.
Redeeming Points
- Altitude members may only redeem points earned during the previous calendar month. Example: Points accrued in February can be redeemed at the end of March.
- Redemption requests should be made no later than seven (7) days prior to use.
- Redemption vouchers may not be converted to cash and have no financial value and are redeemable against rewards only.
- Redemption vouchers will be issued to the member registered as the Primary Member in the Altitude Programme.
- Redemption vouchers are transferable although issued to the member registered as the Primary Member in the Altitude Programme.
- Redemption vouchers are valid for three (3) months from date of issue and may not be extended.
- Redemption vouchers once issued may not be reinstated, reissued or refunded.
- Lost vouchers will not be replaced by DHL.
- If the cash value of the item is lower than the redemption value, the balance change may not be reimbursed to the member.
- DHL reserves the right to change redemption partners and redemption levels at its discretion.
- Redemption vouchers will be sent by courier to the address registered in the Altitude Programme.
- Rewards are subject to availability and DHL is not liable for the quality of rewards supplied by Partners.
- To avoid expiry of points, all redemptions to be made on the last working day of the month and should be redeemed within working hours i.e. 9am to 6pm, Sundays to Thursdays.
Severability
- The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect any other part of these Terms and Conditions.
